Coach Mike Ryczek has been working with parents and varsity athletes for almost 20 years. Through Red Penguin Athletics he is "looking forward to helping many more families in the future."

Coach Mike Ryczek has 15 years of coaching experience at the high school level. He was the Varsity Women's Head Coach at Zion Benton High School for 10 years. During those 10 years, at least one athlete received a college soccer scholarship each year. While coaching 5 years at Jacobs High school, he assisted the varsity women's program where they finished 2nd in state in his last year as an assistant coach.

Growing up in a suburb of Chicago, Mike played travel soccer through high school. In college he continued to play club soccer.

Coach Ryczek also has 15 years of experience coaching high school football. For 11 years he was the head freshman football coach. In his last year of coaching he had 115 players on the freshman squad. His teams were highly successful. In his 15 years of coaching football his teams compiled more than 100 wins with a several undefeated seasons.

After an extremely successful high school football career, Ryczek received a scholarship to play at Evangel University in Springfield, MO. In 1991 EU was 14-1 finishing 2nd in the NAIA. Upon graduation with an English teaching degree he entered his career coaching football and women's soccer.

He attended the Glazier clinics each winter for football. He was a member of the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association (IHSSCA) for 10 years. He took his players/teams to Fellowship of Christian Athletes Summer Camps. He has been an FCA sponsor for over 15 years.
